The last few weeks I have written about how Spring was right around the corner and imagined hearing the familiar call of the returning Osprey telling me Spring was finally here.

While the Osprey may still arrive on schedule, Spring apparently will not.

While the forecast blizzard turned out to be a bust, the cold weather and howling winds are now grating on most people’s nerves including mine.

The Long Island Wildlife Photography group has never let the weather stop them but I did notice a lot more shots taken this week through windows from the comforts of home.

The theme this week seemed to be hungry Raptors who are taking advantage of backyard feeders to catch their meals.

Congrats to Tina Zito for a beautiful capture of a Red-Tailed Hawk in flight.

If you enjoy wildlife and or wildlife photography, feel free to join the group!
