This week the Long Island Wildlife Photography did their usual thing, going out in all kinds of weather and finding a wide variety of wildlife and sharing it with the rest of us.

Many of these birds stay and breed in very remote or isolated areas, without this group many of us would never know we shared the same Island!

This weeks highlights include a Red Eyed Verio, Yellow Billed Cuckoo, Great Crested Flycatchers, and a few Black Skimmers that will be next week’s bird of the week.

There is no exact science to picking the cover photo, but as soon as I saw Vicki Jauron’s image of a Common Tern mating ritual I knew it would make the cut.
