The Long Island Wildlife Photography Group continues to grow like a weed, with over 18,600 members and counting!  It is getting hard to keep up but thanks to the hard work and dedication of Jim Botta, things are running very smoothly and we can put these weekly compilations of some of the best images together.  If we missed your epic shot please don’t take offense, we have over 1000 posts per week.

This week we have almost everything possible covered including birds of prey, shorebirds, warblers, hummingbirds, deer, muskrat, groundhogs, turtles, frogs, squirrels, chipmunks, whales and dolphins.

This week’s cover goes to Paul Peluso with a tail slapping humpback whale.

If you have a few extra minutes try to check out all 8 pages and feel free to share!
