Another great week for the Long Island Wildlife Photography group!  A few notable finds this week include Bald Eagles, Kestrels, Merlins, Red Tail and Cooper’s Hawks.

Also note some great shots of both Pied Billed and Horned Grebes.  Keep a look out for these small but beautiful birds along the shoreline.  The Horned Grebe in particular is striking with almost glow in the dark eyes.  If you are lucky, you may see the male in breeding plumage in late winter before they head north.

If you are looking for something to do this weekend, consider a Seal Watch with CRESLI  and the Viking Fleet in Montauk, with the first trip of the season tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.  Click here for more details.

This weeks cover goes to Phong Nguyen with a stunning photo of a Bald Eagle about to catch a fish.

Check out all 5 pages and have a great weekend!
