This week the Long Island Wildlife Photography group dealt with the heat, humidity and bugs and ended up with some fantastic images.
Notable captures included a Flying Squirrel, a River Otter, Short Billed Dowitcher and Brown Pelican.
You will also see a Black Crowned Night Heron inhaling a bird, and a few notable youngsters including a pair of Cedar Waxwing and a Northern Flicker.
This week’s cover goes to Fred Kopf with a great photo of a Black Skimmer.
