With some big help from Jim Botta, we put together just some of the best photos from the Long Island Wildlife Photography group this week on the 8 pages below. Jim gave me the photos on Wednesday Night and I stopped myself after grabbing another 20 last night and this morning and could have kept going.
This week’s cover shot goes to Caren Milheron with a beautiful tail slapping Humpback Whale. The whale watching reports from both Gotham Whale / American Princess Cruises out of Breezy Point and CRESLI / Viking Fleet out of Montauk have been excellent this summer. If you haven’t gone out yet there is still plenty of time. Perhaps it’s time to put together a group trip in the early Fall.
