While most people celebrated our 241st Independence Day with fireworks and barbeques,  the Long Island Sun Chasers spread out and captured some natural fireworks at both dawn and sunset all over Long Island.  Although we still haven’t had any notable summer heat, we seem to have broken out of the dismal weather of June and had some tremendous skies to work with.

This week we had several members catch an amazing sunrise from Montauk and included some other images from as far west as the Empire State Building, JFK Airport and even a double rainbow from Throgs Neck.

It is always a tough call to pick the cover shot but as soon as I saw the sunrise over Montauk Point from Trish Minogue Collins I knew the search was over!

As always, if you would like an image framed or printed, I can put you in touch with the photographer to work something out.

Try to check out all 8 pages and have a great weekend!
