The Patchogue Fire Department sent the Fireboat crew, Marine 26,  over to check out Davis Park, Fire Island Sunday afternoon and gave us permission to share the photos below.

Initial reports are most of the stairs down to the beach are gone and a few homes had some deck damage.

The marina was still underwater and still severely damaged from prior storms so reports on that will have to wait.

Unfortunately a very similar storm is in the forecast for Wednesday.

I attached a short video captured on the Davis Park Surf Cam on the bottom to show how powerful the surf was and the speed of the littoral drift, east to west.  Note the huge floating debris, perhaps the bumper of a yacht that floats by.
