Saturday afternoon was one of those rare times the Great South Bay was dead calm, with the only ripple coming from occasional long-distance boat wakes.   I let my boat drift in the flats between Old Inlet and Bellport Beach and took a drone flight to capture the scene.  After the recent rain and storms, this section of the bay is still incredibly clear thanks to Old Inlet.  By the looks of the forecast, this could have been the last decent day of the boating season.
