At this point I decided to try to get to the Ocean to see how the surf looked at Smith Point Beach. I have never seen Narrows Bay so churned up. I didn’t take many photos here because the blowing sand was too extreme. I ran to the beach with my iPhone for some quick video but the sand felt like it was tearing my skin.
Soon after the skies cleared out again and the winds turned more Southwest, pushing the tides up at Bellport Dock. Luckily this happened at low tide and we didn’t see any extreme coastal flooding.
