The Osprey nest proved incredibly resilient, surviving Hurricane Sandy and countless storms over the next four years.  The Osprey pair that called it home never missed a season and flourished right in the middle of the inlet as their island slowly eroded away.

Hermine was the final straw, taking down the nest for good.
