The hybrid storm that came up the coast brought in some unexpected flooding along the south shore. This is an ongoing event, if you check out the Marina Cam at Davis Park white caps are crashing over the submerged Docks here.

Keep an eye on the beach and surf cams as the surf should stay up all day long.
I went to check by boat at Squassux Landing in Brookhaven this morning but the water was way to high to get near the marina entrance by truck. I ended up wading through the woods to check the boat, luckily I adjusted my lines last night but never expected a surge around 5 feet. Early reports are that few boats have sunk but it is still too deep to get in there.
I then headed to Bellport Dock where the entire marina was under water right up to the foot of Bellport Lane. You could clearly see breaking waves above Fire Island on the entire horizon.
Unfortunately, one of the moored sailboats at the foot of Brown’s Lane went down.
I will have video taken during the height of the storm and from this morning a little later.
