I went out with Gotham Whale and American Princess Cruises on their new boat, the Atlantic Pearl, on Saturday. The original American Princess now serves as the Rockaway express, providing ferry service between Wall Street and the Fort Tilden and Riis Park Beaches. The new boat is clean and comfortable with a huge bow pulpit viewing area where I spent the entire day. My friend Trish Minogue Collins also hosted a group of Female Long Island Sun Chasers so we ended up with a great crowd.

The weather was excellent with calm winds and partly sunny skies as we pushed off the dock at Noon. The ride out provides a great view of the New York City skyline and Coney Island.
