2018’s largest supermoon of the year rose tonight at 4:31, just minutes before sunset at 4:37.  This year January has two supermoons so if you missed tonight you will get another chance on January 31st.

I picked a favorite location in Bellport to catch the sunset over the ice.  Note the Ocean Beach Water Tower under the Sun in most of the photos.

After the Sun dropped I moved a few blocks over to catch the moon rise before hitting Bellport Dock for a few more as the Moon rose higher in the night sky.
