The 15th Annual Jones Beach Air Show kicks off this weekend with full shows both Saturday and Sunday.
The headliner this year will be the U.S. Navy Blue Angels with Navy and Marine pilots flying 6 McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornets.  Other performers include the F-22 Raptor, Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds, Geico Skytypers, Screamin Sasquatch Jet BiPlane, Sean Tucker and more.
The event is free but parking is $10.  The full practice on Friday is usually just as good as the weekend without the huge crowds.
Most of the show performers will be flying from Republic Airport in Farmingdale which can be a great spot to watch the Blue Angels take off in formation and return from the show.
The photos below were taken the last time the Blue Angels performed at Jones Beach in 2016 along with a few photos of some of the other performers that are scheduled.
I hope to get there again this weekend with better equipment and experience!
