I took a ride to one of my favorite spots to look for some winter wildlife yesterday but things were pretty quiet.  I noticed a bunch of birders that were watching a snowy owl perched on a duck blind but it was too far away for a decent image.

I kept going, scanning the marsh for American Bittern and above the dunes for a Northern Harrier but no takers.  On the way home I happened to look up and found a Snowy Owl perched on top of a power pole right above my head!  The shots below were taken through my sunroof.
