Update: Jose Surf Continues to Overwash into the Great South Bay 9-19-17

I went down to the Fire Island National Seashore at Smith Point tonight to see how the beaches were holding up before high tide.  I hoped to get some good DSLR video of the surf but with some rain in the area I decided against lugging a tripod and extra camera.

The Surf was amazing with the beach packed with onlookers.
