The Bellport Beach Pavilion isn’t the only structure about to be taken away or destroyed by the Ocean this year. East Quogue is also having some problems with beach erosion. I checked out an area across from Dockers Restaurant on Dune Road with a stranded beach deck, collapsed stairs, and very little protection before the next storm. The beach deck that used to be attached to a boardwalk at the Round Dune condo complex now sits alone at the edge of the ocean with significant structural damage. The photos below show what this area looked like from Google Earth in June of 2018.

The top video and photos below were taken on Tuesday, November 19. I didn’t notice at the time but it looks like some more big problems to the west as you can see in the first photo below.
