The Bellport Marina Reconstruction was supposed to be done by April 1st, but due to the Corona Virus and the current state of emergency, the final completion date is up in the air. Further complicating the situation, New York State has shut down all “non-essential’ construction projects until further notice. Since Bellport Village is under a state of emergency and all facilities are closed, the dock and ramp would not be open on time anyway.
I took an aerial survey over the project last Thursday and as you will see below, the bulkhead work around the perimeter of the marina appears to be done and ready to be paved. I am not sure of the status but DEC compliant storm drains and a new electric system are also being installed.
