The high water left over from the Friday / Saturday Nor’easter still hasn’t receded much even this morning as I write this.

Unfortunately another coastal storm is on tap for Wednesday so water levels may not have a chance to recede much before the next potential event.

I checked out Smith Point Beach just after Sunrise on Sunday, Surf was still up and reaching right up to the dunes in many areas.

In the video above you can clearly see most of the marsh inundated and multiple areas where the ocean had washed over.

Check our new WEATHER TAB on the top menu a little later where we will have a video weather discussion from professional meteorologist Steve DiMartino and three live cams broadcasting from the top of the Davis Park Casino on Fire Island.

To see what this area normally looks like, check out this aerial survey conducted in late February.
