Besides the normal landscapes, sunrises, sunsets and beach scenes, the Long Island Sun Chasers focus this week seemed to be the Snow Moon, the year’s brightest Moon on Tuesday February 19th. Members fanned out around Long Island and did a fantastic job of capturing both the Moon rise and set with some great Long Island landmarks in the foreground. One of the best examples in the cover shot by Jeremey Garretson, with a phenomenal shot of the Moon rising behind the Bug Lighthouse from Shelter Island. For more great moon shots, check out pages 4 and 5.
More than a few of the photos on the next 5 pages are print worthy, if anything gets your attention let me know and I can put you in touch with the photographer.
Check out all 5 pages and have a great weekend!
